Meet the team

Andrew Scott

Bachelor of Science (Hons, Eastbourne, UK)
Master of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy (Uni SA 2001)

Andrew is a musculoskeletal and sports trained physiotherapist. He has been treating all types of injuries since 1996. He has worked as the physiotherapist for several sporting clubs, including Middlesex County Cricket Club, based at Lord’s cricket ground in London. Andrew is trained in the use of traditional Chinese acupuncture for pain relief. He is a one-time Marathon runner, played rugby and soccer socially for almost two decades. In physiotherapy he believes the key to treatment is thorough assessment and accurate diagnosis. Currently Andrew consults in the Edwardstown clinic only.

 


Ania Sobieraj

Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (Uni SA 1996)
Master of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy (Uni SA 2001)

Ania started working as a physiotherapist in 1996 and has extensive experience in treating spinal and sports injuries, paediatric as well as pre- and post-natal problems.
In 2001 she undertook a Master’s degree at Uni SA which involved a years’ postgraduate training in the diagnosis and advanced management of musculoskeletal injuries. She was awarded The Marie-Hammond prize for the most outstanding academic achievement that year. She continued her involvement with the University as a clinical educator with undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapists.
Ania established Mawson Lakes Physiotherapy with Andrew Scott in 2003 and has worked privately since.

 


Christie Hill

Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (Uni SA 2000)

Christie has spent her time as a physiotherapist in private practice and in community aged care. She has developed a special interest in the shoulder region and how improving shoulder stability can maximise movement and strength. Christies other special interest is in falls prevention and impaired balance, conditions particularly concerning for the elderly. Her passion for movement and exercise as part of the recovery process is reflected in her additional training in Pilates, Smartball, Heartmoves and No Lift No Injury techniques. Often in a local gym herself, she can use her knowledge of weight training and exercises to get you started on a program or to help you to keep going with your usual activities.

 


Graeme Kelly

Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (Uni SA 2003)
Master of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy (Currently studying)

Graeme is an experienced physiotherapist who has enjoyed working in private practice for many years. He is also trained in the use of Western acupuncture and dry needling for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Graeme has represented South Australia in hockey and currently plays in the premier league for Adelaide University. His interest in sports physiotherapy sees him work with both players at Adelaide University Hockey Club, as well as Centrals Football Club under 16’s and under 18’s sides.
